TRAIN SCHEDULE CHANGES ON JUNE 9
Five Hours Cut Off Train Connections to the Coast-Change in Time of Olympian.
On Sunday, June 9, a new train schedule reducing the running time between Chicago and the Coast approximately five hours, will go into effect on the Milwaukee railroad. The “Olympian” westbound from Chicago to Seattle will make the run in 63 hours while the eastbound train will run on a 61 and one quarter hours’ schedule.
According to the new schedule which is tentative, the westbound from Chicago enroute to Seattle or No. 15 will arrive in Ipswich at 4:40 p.m.
The eastbound coming from the coast will go through at 2:00 p.m.
Although there will be no change in the running time of “Columbian” there may be slight change in time. It is due here at 8:17 a.m. and will make Ipswich going west at 10:40 p.m.
The local morning and evenings trains will not be effected.
The new time of arrival in Chicago of the fast trains makes excellent connections with all trains from that city, including the Broadway Limited and Twentieth Century Limited for New York.
