4-H Shooters earn trip to State Shoot in April

The Edmunds County Shooting Sports held their first postal. Shooting a qualifying score enables the shooter to participate in the State Shoot in Ft. Pierre on April 22-24.

Twenty BB Gun shooters showed their skills in standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone positions. There were also five air pistol shoots and 18 archers that shot the postal. BB Gun members are coached by Joe Galbraith, air pistol by Doug Wittmeier, and archery is coached by Jim Kanable.

Qualifying for state in BB Gun were Beginners Isabella Galbraith-250, Ashlyn Heilman-317.1, Isabelle Morales-277.1, Kalynn Oban-302, Adelyn Pollock-278, Junior Ben Hoyle-335, Sydney Holmes-337.1, and Senior Hannah Beyers-352.2.

Other BB Gun shooters were Grayson Beyers, Lincoln Beyers, Addison Galbraith, Jase Heilman, Wyatt Holmes, Willian Hoyle, Mahlia Kadlec, Brynlee Rasmussen, Lily Roth, Austin Sieh, Jacob Volk, and Emma Wesch.

Qualifying in Air Pistol was Emerald Wittmeier-126.

Other Air Pistol shooters were Grayson Beyers, Hannah Beyers, Lincoln Beyers and Adam Kanable.

Archers qualifying for state were Seniors Adam Kanable-CWS-R- 122.7 and Emerald Wittmeier-CWS-R-122.1.

Other archery shooters were Grayson Beyers, Lincoln Beyers, Hannah Beyers, Addison Galbraith, Isabella Galbraith, Ashlyn Heilman, Jase Heilman, Sydney Holmes, Wyatt Holmes, Ben Hoyle, Olivia Kadlec, Elaina Morales, Brynlee Rasmussen, Lily Roth, Austin Sieh,and Emma Wesch.

Members will continue to meet on Monday to practice for their next postal and hone their skills for the state shoot.
