Area AAU wrestlers at Region tourney

Ipswich Area AAU wrestlers competed at the Region 2 Tournament in Pierre on Saturday, March 11 in TF Riggs High School.

Several local wrestlers qualified for the state tournament March 24-26 in Aberdeen.

Wrestlers who qualified for the state tournament are:

First place - Elmer Braun, Stetson Heilman, Clayton Horst

Second place - Jaxson Horst, Sophia Knittel

Third place - Elliot Kallas, Cayson Howard, Ryder Steen

Local wrestlers who placed in the Region were:

Fourth place - Asher Miller, Isaiah Kadlec, Emerson Pollock

Fifth place - Archer Hoyle, Chance Miller

Sixth place - Elliot Unser, Jase Heilman

Ipswich Area wrestlers who did not place were: Jack Wesch, Brantley Steen, Edison Unser, Draycen Easterby, Weston Weisser, Gavin Horst

Twenty teams participated in the Region 2 Tournament.
