County 4-H Shooters qualify for State Shoot in April

The Edmunds County 4-H Shooting Sports held their second postal on March 13. Shooting a qualifying score enables the shooters to participate in the State Shoot in Ft. Pierre on April 22-24.

Sixteen BB Gun shooters, four air pistol shooters, and 17 archers competed. BB Gun members are coached by Joe Galbraith, air pistol is coached by Doug Wittmeier, and archery is coached by Jim Kanable.

Qualifying for state in BB Gun were Beginners Bailey Heintzman-296, and Mahlia Kadlec-258; and Juniors Lincoln Beyers-334.2, and Nevaeh Moser-358. They will join Hannah Beyers, Isabella Galbraith, Ashlyn Heilman, Ben Hoyle, Isabelle Morales, Kalynn Oban, and Adelyn Pollock at the state shoot.

Qualifying for state in air pistol were Junior Grayson Beyers-102, and Seniors Hannah Beyers-111 and Adam Kanable-131. They will join Lincoln Beyers at the state shoot.

Archers qualifying for state were Beginner Brynlee Rasmussen-CWOS-71.1, Junior Alexis Fischer-CWS-R-132, and Seniors Hannah Beyers-CWS-R-111.2, Lincoln Beyers-CWS-R-116.1, Grant Fischer-CWS-R-140.7 and Jillian Fischer-CWS-R-129.4. They will join Adam Kanable and Emerald Wittmeier at the state shoot.

Members will continue to meet on Mondays to practice for their next postal and hone their skills for the state shoot.
