Local wrestlers compete at state meet in Aberdeen

Ipswich area AAU wrestlers competed in the State Tournament in Aberdeen last weekend.

Sophie Knittel placed second in the girls C 120 pound divison. Stetson Heilman placed sixth in the Tots 40 pound division.

Ipswich area wrestlers who competed but did not place included: Elliott Kallas Bantam 47, Elmer Braun Bantam 50, Cayson Howard Bantam 53, Jaxson Horst Midget 82 pound, and Ryder Steen Midget 96 pound

Friday night Ipswich wrestlers competed in a freestyle meet. Results were:

Second place: Brady Unser Junior 126 pound, Kadyn Weisser Junior 220 pound and Lucas Rowland Junior 285 pound

Fourth place: Grant Weisser Junior 195 pound

Fifth place: Clayton Horst 16 U 94 pound
