Celebrating the Resurrection this week

The First Baptist Church of Ipswich will host the community Good Friday service on April 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Local churches will be celebrating Holy Week with services (weather permitting) this week.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

The First Baptist Church will host an Easter breakfast at 9 a.m. followed by the Easter Worship Service at 10 a.m.

HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH

Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper begins at 7 p.m. on April 6. The Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion service begins at 3 p.m. The Holy Saturday Easter Vigil will be at 8:30 p.m. on April 8. Easter Sunday Mass of the Lord’s Resurrection begins at 10 a.m. on April 9.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Roscoe will have the Good Friday service at Noon on April 7. The Roscoe Easter Sunday Mass will begin at 8 a.m.

RICHLAND CHURCH

The Maundy Thursday Service is planned on April 6 at 7 p.m. The Easter Sunday Worship Service begins at 10:45 a.m.

UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

The Maundy Thursday communion service begins at 6:30 p.m. on April 6. The Easter Sunrise service begins at 7:02 a.m. with breakfast following. The Easter Worship Service begins at 10 a.m.

ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH

The Good Friday service begins at 7:15 p.m. on April 7. Easter Sunday Worship Service is at 11 a.m.
