Fiddlin' Around

This Saturday, April 22 is annually recognized as Earth Day. And you can probably guess that the earth including all the people in it could definitely use recognition!!!! That day and all the rest of the year for that matter!

I'm not sure if there are any Aberdeen area Earth Day celebrations planned on that day this year, but you could check that out.

I found a couple ways to celebrate the planet this April.

• Leave the car at home. Winter weather is a distant memory by late April in many places, making Earth Day an ideal time to travel by foot or by bicycle instead of by car.

• Get your hands dirty and plant. The National Forest Foundation notes that planting trees can have a profound and positive impact on the planet.
