IHS tracksters to attend State B in Sioux Falls this weekend

IHS girls and boys track and field athletes qualified for the State B Track and Field Meet in Sioux Falls May 25-27 at Howard Wood Field.

They qualified for 11 individual events each, as well as relays.

The top 24 competitors in each division qualified for the State Meet.

The IHS Girls competitors include:

• Madisyn Gellhaus - 1600 Meter Run and 3200 Meter Run

• Marley Guthmiller - 100 Meter Hurdles, 300 Meter Hurdles and Pole Vault

• Jalyssa Hutson - High Jump and Pole Vault

• Gracie Lange - High Jump and Long Jump

• Quincy Olivier - Pole Vault

• Ashley Ptacek - Triple Jump

• 4x800 Meter Relay

• 1600 Sprint Medley Relay

Other girls who may be competing in a relay include: Aubree DeRaad, Vanesa Diaz, Brianna Geditz, Ashlinn Hartwell, Gracyn Kadlec, Kathryn Kilber, Amy Lange, and Anna Nierman.

The IHS Boys competitors include:

• Ian Beyers - 800 Meter Run

• Brody Davis - Pole Vault

• Carter Geditz - 110 Meter Hurdles

• Trevor Heinz - Long Jump

• Tyler Hettich - High Jump

• Maxwell Kulesa - 800 Meter Run

• Rasmus Loken - Pole Vault

• Lucas Rowland - Shot Put

• Colby Sylte - Long Jump

• Kaden Weig - 300 Meter Hurdles

• Darrel Yost - Pole Vault

• 4x100 Meter Relay

• 4x200 Meter Relay

• 4x400 Meter Relay

• 4x800 Meter Relay

• 1600 Sprint Medley Relay

Other boys who may be competing in a relay include: Nate Bass, Casey Geditz, Tyler Gellhaus, Kyle Hettich, Xavier Kadlec, and Turner Thorson.

Ipswich is planning a Welcome Home event on Sunday, May 28 at 6:30 in the School Theatre.
