The 2023 Mina Lake Freedom Festival is planned to celebrate the 4th of July holiday.
The event will begin on Saturday, July 1 with some exercise. The 5K Run/2 Mile Fun Walk/Kid Run begins at 9 a.m. Registration is at 8 a.m. at the Wakeside.
Enjoy the music of the Barstool Prophets at The Crossing Friday night beginning at 9 p.m.
There are activities for kids on Monday, July 3, starting with the 11th Annual Kids Fishing for Freedom from 10 a.m. to noon. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the public boat launch. Fish on shore or in a boat.
After fishing, kids will have a free lunch at the Wakeside. Then they can head out for the Kids’ Fun Zone for games, a bouncy house and face painting from noon to 2 p.m.
A patriotic show for all begins at 8 p.m. After the flag presentation and National Anthem enjoy Snowmobiles on the Water. The Lizzy Hofer Band will begin at 9 p.m. at the Wakeside.
The Fireworks Extravaganza is set to start at 10 p.m. Monday.
