The Roscoe Summer Youth Program is planning a Bike-A-Thon on Tuesday, July 18 at the Roscoe City Park.
Check in from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. with riding beginning at 5:30 p.m.
There will be three riding routes based on the level of the rider, ages 18 and younger.
Beware the riders will be on the streets of Roscoe.
Registration packets can be picked up at AP Express. Kids do not need to register in advance, but it is recommended. Pre-registered participants receive an event T-shirt and goodie bag.
All proceeds go to the Roscoe Summer Youth Program for the baseball and softball programs. They purchased two mobile pitching machines this year, one for baseball and one for softball. They are working on putting up a batting cage for the softball program. “This cage will be similar to the one currently at the field,” said coach Sandra Beyers, “but will hold an Iron Mike machine designed to pitch softballs.”
A post-ride party will be held on the field from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. with refreshments.
