Cross Country - Ipswich Tigers run in Pierre

Ipswich plans to enter high school cross country action in Pierre on August 25 and will also likely attend a meet in Mobridge the next day, according to head coach Todd Thorson. (His assistant will be Taylor Thorson.)

One of their regular-season schedule's highlights should be a September 9 meet in Ipswich and the Tigers will also host the Lake Region Conference (LRC) meet on October 4.

Their regional is set for Webster on October 11 and the state meet will then be in Sioux Falls on October 21.

The varsity girls will include senior Hailey Usselman. There are two sophomore girls, namely Madisyn Gellhaus and Gracyn Kadlec. Bella Unser is a ninth-grader this year and Bella Henderson will be a eighth-grader. Also eligible for varsity action will be seventh-graders Aubrey Crissman and Olivia Kadlec.

The sixth-grader non-varsity runners this year will include Shawna Henderson, Braelynn Holt and Jennay Gisi.

The Tiger boys will be a little older, featuring two seniors —Xavier Kadlec and Kaden Weisser. Tye Pietz is a tenth-grader and Tyler Gellhaus is a freshman. The seventh-grade boys eligible for varsity are Benjamin Hoyle, Edison Unser and Ethan Wald.

There are four middle-school sixth-grade boys including Brayan Paguaga, Jaxon Jager, Riley Pietz and Carson Roethler.
