Big homecoming win for North Central JV Football team

The North Central JV football team got a homecoming win on Aug. 25 in Eureka. The Thunder stopped McLaughlin 50-8 to celebrate Edmunds Central’s homecoming week.

Jade Jacobs had a big half for the Thunder. He had a seven yard run, adding the extra point, to begin the scoring, 8-0. Then Harrison Beyers added seven more with a two yard rush, for a 14-0 first quarter.

Jacobs added another TD to start the second quarter scoring. Then McLaughlin had a 63 yard pass to get on the scoreboard, adding a PAT run, 20-8. Jacobs ended the half with a 23-yard run.

Jacobs added six points in the third quarter, with a seven yard run.

Mason Kunz opening the fourth quarter scoring with a five yard run touchdown. Joshua Fargher scored with a three yard pass from Harrison Beyers. Then the Thunder added a safety for two more, 42-8. Seth Hettick scored on a one yard pass from Kobe Wherry. Wherry had the last score, a three yard run.

The Thunder had 344 yards on 35 carries. Jacobs rushed for 116 yards on 14 carries, with four touchdowns. Beyers rushed for 107 yards on 11 runs and Kunz was 54-4.

The Thunder had 42 yards passing, led by Beyers with 41 yards on nine completions.

McLaughlin had 129 yards passing with eight completions.

The Thunder recorded 23 tackles.

NC played South Border in Ashley on Aug. 28. They host Langford Area on Sept. 1 in Eureka.
