Ipswich attended a cross country invite in Mobridge last Saturday.
They had one senior boy Xavier Kadlec who placed eighth in the varsity run clocked at 19:29.99. Nicholas Schlachter of Potter County won that event in 17:58.54. (Mobridge-Pollock's own Heidi Olson won the girls' varsity event in 20:01.27.)
Meanwhile some of the other divisions saw a number of IHS entrants!
Tyler Gellhaus was second in the boys JV race in 14:05.05, where Kadyn Weisser was 17th in 18:17.60.
In boys middle-school action Ethan Wald placed second in 7:04.01. Brayan Paguaga was sixth in 7:20.95 and Edison Unser was 26th in 18:53.19. Jaxon Jager was 29th at 9:04.49 and Benjamin Hoyle was 31st in 10:01.69 and Riley Pietz was 32nd in 10:13.62.
Madisyn Gellhaus was second in the girls' JV event in 15:21.83 and Gracyn Kadlec was fourth in 16:09.07. Bella Unser added a 18th in 20:34.81.
The Ipswich girls actually won the middle-school event. Jennay Gisi was fourth in 7:39.94, followed by Bella Henderson in fifth at 7:46.21. Braelyn Holt was seventh in 7:57.51. Aubrey Crissman added a ninth in 7:59.35, followed by Olivia Kadlec in 13th at 8:09.48 and Emri Braun was 14th in 8:10.46. Shawna Henderson placed 39th in 9:40.75.
The Tiger runners will compete in the Redfield Pheasants Invite on Thursday, Aug. 31 at the Fisher Grove State Park.
