North Central sent runners to a cross country meet in Mobridge last Saturday.
The varsity boys team featured Lemmon in first with 26 points and Faukton next at 29. The girls standings found Potter County in first at 20 and Lemmon second at 38.
The top Thunder varsity boy was Anthony Miller in 11th at 19:46.5, followed by Avery Wells 14th at 20:06.32 and Drew Arbach was 16th at 20:17.77. Theo Haerter was then 20th at 21:15.57. (It was won by Nicholas Schlachter of Potter County in 17:58.54.)
Mobridge-Pollock's own Heidi Olson won the girls varsity event in 20:01.57. Kassandra Abbas was 13th for NC in 24:12.43 followed by Grace Roth 20th in 25:48.52.
Keegan Miller was third in the boys' JV event at 14:15.63 and Aaron Ingerson fourth at 14:39.38, followed by Noah Ingerson 12th in 15:45.01. In the girls JV event Mikaela Malsom was eighth in 16:58.34 and Melanie Dallenbach was ninth in 17:06.26 while Lily Roth was 13th in 18:38.77.
In the girls' MS division Katherina Malsom placed 16th in 8:26.119 and Sophie Kroll was 34th at 9:15.25, while Olivia Matott was 35th in 9:31.52 followed by Gwen Pruskowski in 41st at 10:54.67. (Ipswich won this team event.)
In the boys middle-school event Haydon Sprague was 7th in 7:46.93 for NC that day.
The Thunder runners will compete in the Redfield Pheasants Invite on Thursday, Aug. 31 at the Fisher Grove State Park.
