Roscoe American Legion Auxiliary seeks holiday gifts for veterans to give

As you prepare for the upcoming holiday season the Roscoe American Legion and the Roscoe Auxiliary members are asking you to think about the veterans who would like to shop for their families.

The Christmas gift shops give the veterans a chance to get special gifts for their families and loved ones. New gift items are needed to make this happen.

Do not wrap the gifts, but if you would like to include paper and ribbon or gift bags you are welcome to do this also.

Gifts are needed for men, women and children. The gifts would be what you would give to your loved ones such as clothing, gloves, hats, cologne in unbreakable bottles, watches, billfolds, Jewelry or household items like towels, etc. Anything that you would like to give for your family members.

This year they have two drop off sites for you to bring the gifts to: the Tribune office in Ipswich or Roscoe Hardware in Roscoe.

If you would prefer a monetary gift give them to Donna Brockel or Deanne Hoyle.

They will be collecting the gifts on Sept. 25. “This is a rather short time period and we are all busy, but please remember the sacrifice that our veterans made for our country,” said Brockel.

For more informaton call Donna, 605-287-4828 or Deanne at 605-380-2650.
