Ipswich School Homecoming festivities are planned for October 2-6, 2023.
The theme is Traveling with the Tigers.
Coronation will be Thursday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the School Theatre. Royalty candidates are seniors Hannah Beyers, Karlie Gohl, Evelyn Tran, Hailey Usselman, Trevor Heinz, Xavier Kadlec, Chet Peterson and Kadyn Weisser.
The burning of the "I" will follow the coronation program.
The Gala Day parade is Friday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. Contact Shana Gohl at the school to sign up to have an entry.
That evening the homecoming football game will be a battle of the Tigers - Ipswich vs. Dupree. Other high school athletic activities this week will include:
• Volleyball - IHS at Faulkton on Oct. 3
• Cross Country - LRC Meet in Ipswich at 12:30 p.m.
The Traveling theme will send the IHS students on the road:
Monday - Traveling to the past (dress like someone from the past and travel in anything but a car to school
Tuesday - Travel to Hawaii (dress like you are going somewhere warm)
Wednesday - Travel to Washington, D.C. (wear red, white and blue)
Thursday - Travel to Hollywood (Dress like a movie star)
Friday - Tiger Pride.
A pep rally is planned at 8:45 a.m. Friday morning, Oct. 6.
