New NRCS specialist in Ipswich

Morgan Trefz is a new Natural Resource Specialist in the Ipswich Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) office.

Trefz grew up near Onaka, helping work on the family farm. He attended the University of Minnesota Crookston, graduating with a degree in Natural Resources.

"My wife and I recently moved back to the area and are excited to be here," Trefz said. "My passions include hunting, fishing, trapping, and other outdoor recreations."

Trefz will be providing technical assistance for private landowners and operators, including developing conservation plans and administering Farm Bill Programs.

"I specifically bring a working knowledge of agriculture both in crop production and beef cattle production," Trefz said. "I look forward to getting to know and working with people around the area."
