School Board change defeated

The Edmunds Central School District election on November 7 was close.

With only a 20.3 percent voter turnout, “No” had 64 votes and “Yes” 61 votes.

The voters were asked to decide if the School District should dissolve the current district system and make each seat an "at-large" seat for which anyone living in the district would be eligible.

The "No" vote meant there will be no change in the current School Board make-up.

There are 616 registered voters in the Edmunds Central school district according to Kelly Toennies, Business Manager.
