4-Hers earn trips to State Shoot for shooting skills

The Edmunds County Shooting Sports held their first postal. Shooting a qualifying score enables the shooter to participate in the State Shoot in Ft. Pierre on April 26-28.

Sixteen BB Gun shooters showed their skills in standing, kneeling, sitting, and prone positions. There were also five air pistol shooters and 10 archers that shot the postal. BB Gun members are coached by Joe Galbraith, air pistol by Doug Wittmeier, and archery is coached by Jim Kanable.

Qualifying for state in BB Gun were Beginners Addison Galbraith-258, Kalynn Oban-339, Austin Sieh-265; Juniors Isabella Galbraith-302, Bailey Hammrich-301; and Seniors Hannah Beyers-346 and Nevaeh Moser-342.

Other BB Gun shooters were Grayson Beyers, Lincoln Beyers, William Hoyle, Treyton Hutson, Adelyn Pollock, Emerson Pollock, Ryder Steen, Noah Williams, and Jacob Volk.

Qualifying in Air Pistol were Seniors Lincoln Beyers-124, Adam Kanable-137, and Emerald Wittmeier-122.

Other Air Pistol shooters were Grayson Beyers and Hannah Beyers.

Archers qualifying for state were Seniors Hannah Beyers-CWS-R- 125.4, Lincoln Beyers-CWS-R-124.6, and Emerald Wittmeier-CWS-R-123.3.

Other archery shooters were Grayson Beyers, Addison Galbraith, Isabella Galbraith, Adam Kanable, Emerson Pollock, Adelyn Pollock, and Noah Williams

Members will continue to meet on Mondays to practice for their next postal and hone their skills for the state shoot.
