Tornadoes rolled through Rapid City last weekend. Fortunately they weren't real tornadoes, but they were a girls basketball team playing in the State B there. That's right the Centerville Tornadoes would cap their amazing weekend with an impressively relatively easy championship night victory over Arlington, the top-seeded team entering the event. At the other end of the spectrum a Lake Region Conference and Region 1B member Warner didn't fare all that well. They would not manage to win a single tournament game including a seventh-place loss to James Valley Christian.
Now the boys' Class B games are once again slated for this weekend at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen. And as you well know that would become a much shorter drive than all the way to Rapid City for area tournament fans. And as usual there could be an upset or two in that event. And one of the teams in the boys event will be another LRC and Region 1B member Leola/Frederick. So good luck to the Titans this weekend and let's hope our spring-like weather will at least continue through the boys B.
