Local churches celebrate Easter this week

Local churches will be celebrating Holy Week with services (weather permitting) this week.

The First Baptist of Ipswich will host the community Good Friday service on March 29 at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Dan Kuno will deliver the sermon, “What Happened.”

First Baptist Church

Ipswich

The First Baptist Church will host an Easter breakfast at 9 a.m. followed by the Easter Worship Service at 10 a.m.

Holy Cross Catholic Church

Ipswich

Holy Cross Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper begins at 7 p.m. on March 28. The Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion service begins at 3 p.m. Easter Sunday Mass of the Lord’s Resurrection begins at 11 a.m. on March 31.

Richland Church

Ipswich

The Maundy Thursday Service is planned on March 28 at 7 p.m. The Easter Sunday Worship Service begins at 10:45 a.m.

St. John’s Lutheran Church

The Maundy Thursday service begins at 5:30 p.m. on March 28. Good Friday service is at 5:30 p.m. The Easter Worship Service begins at 9 a.m. on March 31.

St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church

Roscoe

The Maundy Thursday service begins at 7 p.m. on March 28. The Good Friday Service begins at 7 p.m. An Easter breakfast begins at 9:30 a.m. The Easter Worship Service begins at 10:30 a.m. on March 31.

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church

Roscoe

St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Roscoe will have a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. on April 29. The Roscoe Easter Sunday Mass will begin at 9 a.m.

United Church of Christ

Ipswich

The Maundy Thursday communion service begins at 6:30 p.m. on March 28. The Easter Sunrise service begins at 7 a.m. Breakfast will be served by the youth group at 9:15 a.m. The Easter Worship Service begins at 10 a.m.

Zion Lutheran Church

Ipswich

The Good Friday service begins at 7:15 p.m. on March 29. Easter Sunday Worship Service is at 11 a.m.
