IHS track and field at Dewey Donat Class at Northern State

Ipswich Track and Field athletes competed in the Dewey Donat Classic indoor track and field meet in the Barnett Center on Thursday, March 28 in Aberdeen.

Kyle Hettich won the 200 Meter with a 23.81. In the 55 Meter Dash Hettich was second, 6.73, followed by Trevor Heinz at 6.76. An IHS 4x400 Relay team was second at 3:49.17. Hettich and Heinz were joined by Casey Geditz and Rasmus Loken. Rasmus Loken was second in the 55m Hurdles, with a 8:76 clocking.

The girls top effort came from Jalyssa Hutson, first in the High Jump with a 4’8 jump. Hutson was second in the Pole Vault, 8’10. Madisyn Gellhaus was second in the 1600 Meters run, 5:38.85.

The IHS girls placed second and third in the 4x400 relay. Ipswich-B (Brooke Larson, Amy Lange, Madisyn Gellhaus and Gracyn Kadlec) run the relay at 4:29.99 followed by Ipswich-A (Sophia Knittel, Isabella Henderson, Aubree DeRaad, and Marley Guthmiller) at 4:35.21.

400 Meters: 7, Aubree DeRaad, 1:08.43

55m Hurdles: 3, Marley Guthmiller, 9:93; 7, Jalyssa Hutson, 10:59

Shot Put: 7, Tristan Geditz, 30’11.25

Pole Vault: 6, Guthmiller, 8’1

Long Jump: 7, Knittel, 14’4.5

IHS boy placers included:

400 Meters: 7, Casey Geditz, 58.35

1600 Meters: 8, Xavier Kadlec, 5:10.03

55m Hurdles: 5, Kaden Weig, 9.39

4x400 Relay: 6, Ipswich-B (Brody Davis, Weig, Ty Bauer, Kadlec), 4:03.59

High Jump: 8, Bauer, 5’4

Pole Vault: 7, Davis, 11’0

Ipswich is scheduled to host an Early Bird meet on Tuesday, April 9. Field events begin at 2:30 p.m. with track events beginning at 4 p.m.
