High School golf season underway

EDMUNDS CENTRAL

The Edmunds Central high school golf team kicked off the season at the Class B Classic in Mitchell on April 5.

There were 144 boys and girls golfers participating from across the state. 

Harrison Beyers led the Edmunds Central golfers with 84 for 22nd place. Seth Hettick scored 87. The EC team also included Trent Beyers and Clark Beyers. The EC team placed 10th with 263 points.

Miller won the boys event with 241 points. Wall was second.

IPSWICH

The Ipswich High School golf team kicked off the season at the Class B Classic in Mitchell on April 5.

There were 144 boys and girls golfers participating from across the state. 

Ipswich was represented by Chet Peterson, Jace Konsor, Tucker Kadlec, Nate Bass, and Mollie Simon.

“The golfers did an excellent job of competing through the cooler temperatures and gusting winds,” said IHS coach Matt Pollock. 

Chet placed 10th, carding an 82.  The boys team placed 11th. Miller won the boys event with 241 points. Wall was second.

The Ipswich Tiger team will not have any tournaments this week but will be back in action the week of April 15
