Ipswich cast presents murder mystery spoof

Ipswich High School will be presenting Murder at the Orient Express on Friday, April 19 in the Ipswich School Theatre. There is a 1:30 p.m. matinee and a 7 p.m. performance.

The all-ages murder mystery farce and a spoof of an Agatha Christie classic was written by Craig Sodaro and produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Englewood, Colo.

In the play, Seymour Twitt starts receiving death threats, so he hires private eye Dudley Sharpe to investigate. Sharpe tells his new client to meet him a week later at the Orient Express, a Chinese restaurant. On that fateful snowy night, the Orient Express is filled with an odd assortment of customers who appear to be in disguise. Before Sharpe can narrow down the suspect list, Twitt is murdered. With a blizzard cutting off all from escape, Sharpe begins to unravel the identities of the 12 suspects in the room. Will Sharpe be fortunate enough to crack the case?
