Delano D. Kukrall

Funeral Service for Delano D. Kukrall was at 2 p.m., Monday, April 15, 2024, at Schriver Funeral Home, 720 N. 6th Street, Ipswich, with Pastor John Hisel officiating. 

Visitation was one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. 

Burial with Military Honors was at the Ipswich City Cemetery, Ipswich, following the funeral service. 

Delano Dean Kukrall was born April 9, 1933, to Joseph F. and Anna M. (Kadlec) Kukrall at home on a farm by Loyalton, where he was raised and attended country school to the eighth grade.

In 1955, Delano was drafted into the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1957. He then returned to farming with the family.

Delano served on his township board as a supervisor for 17 years. He was also a member of the Roscoe American Legion Post #259 for many years.

He was a member of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder and trustee, until it closed in 2007. He then joined the United Church of Christ in Ipswich.

Delano's hobbies included bowling and camping with the family.

Delano was united in marriage to Eileen (Lang) Fiechtner on October 17, 1992. They made their home in Ipswich.

Delano passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Angelhaus in Aberdeen, at the age of 91.

He is survived by three nieces, two nephews, three stepchildren and eight step-grandchildren.

Delano is preceded in death by his wife Eileen; both parents; brothers William, Wilbert, Rene, Willard, Clarence, Roy; sister Lorraine; and one stepdaughter Kim (Fiechtner) Trinko.
