County 4-H Shooters compete at State Shoot

Eighteen Edmunds County Shooting Sports members attended the State Shoot in Ft. Pierre on April 26-28.

BB Gun participants, their scores, and ribbon placings are as follows: Beginners - William Hoyle-308-Blue, Treyton Hutson-267-Red, Kalynn Oban-337.2-Blue, Austin Ryder-254-Red, Ryder Steen-271.2-Red; Juniors - Bailey Heintzman-326.1-Red, Ben Hoyle-317.4-Red, Adelyn Pollock-306.2-Red; and Seniors - Hannah Beyers-357.7-Blue, Lincoln Beyers-343-4-Red, and Nevaeh Moser-352.8-Blue.

The shooters were all on teams. The Beginner Team received a blue ribbon, Junior team a red ribbon, and the Senior team a blue ribbon.

Air Pistol participants, their scores, and ribbon placings are as follows: Junior - Grayson Beyers-Slow Fire-101-Red, 98-Rapid Fire-15-White; Seniors - Hannah Beyers-Slow Fire-82-White, Rapid Fire-34-White, Lincoln Beyers-Slow Fire-126-Red-Rapid Fire-38-White, and Emerald Wittmeier- Slow fire-127-Red-Rapid Fire-42-White.

The Senior Air Pistol team received a red ribbon.

Archery participants, their discipline, scores, and ribbon placings are as follows: Beginners - Tara Fischer-CWSR-120.5-Red, Emma Wesch-CWOS-82.2-Red; Juniors - Ben Hoyle-CWSR-110.3-Red, Adelyn Pollock-CWSR-118-Red; Seniors - Hannah Beyers-CWSR-109.1-White, Lincoln Beyers-CWSR-131.3-Blue, Alexis Fischer- CWSR-129.2-Blue, Grant Fischer-CWSR-129.8-Blue, Jillian Fischer-CWSR-122.3-Red, and Emerald Wittmeier-CWSR-119.2-Red.

The Senior archers had two teams. One received a red and the other a blue.

The season ended Sunday, May 5 with a pizza party and receiving their state ribbons.
