The Rolling Hills Golf Course hosted the Lake Region Conference golf meet last Thursday.
The Ipswich girls finished second just behind Faulkton. Rylee Kleffman carded a 104, which placed her third. Mollie Simon had the lowest round of the day on the girls' side with a 93 taking home top honors and earning first place.
On the boys' side, Ipswich placed first as a team, defeating Faulkton 247 to 267. Ipswich boys took four of the top five individual places. Jace Konsor finished with an 89 for fifth place, Nate Bass 85 for fourth place, Tucker Kadlec 83 for second place, and Chet Peterson was the top medalist with a 79.
Ipswich golfers traveled to Eureka on May 4, which turned out to be the nicest day of weather so far.
Two Ipswich girls competed at Eureka on Saturday with Hailey Usselman scoring her lowest round of the year and Mollie Simon shooting a 102 which placed her sixth overall.
The Ipswich boys' team was represented by Jace Konsor, Tucker Kadlec, Nate Bass, and Trevor Larson. They finished third out of eight teams just nine shots from first place. Individually, Tucker Kadlec placed eighth and Jace Konsor took home third by shooting an 82.
The teams should be back in action on May 7 in Huron.
