Local athletes qualify for trip to State Track and Field Meet in Sioux Falls

IPSWICH

IHS girls and boys track and field athletes qualified for the State B Track and Field Meet in Sioux Falls May 23-25 at Howard Wood Field.

Twelve girls and 11 boys qualified for individual events, as well as relays.

The top 24 competitors in each division qualified for the State Meet.

The IHS Girls competitors include:

• Tristan Geditz - Discus

• Madisyn Gellhaus - 800 Meter Run, 1600 Meter Run and 3200 Meter Run

• Marley Guthmiller - 100 Meter Hurdles and Pole Vault

• Jalyssa Hutson - High Jump and Pole Vault

• Gracyn Kadlec - 1600 Meter Run and 3200 Meter Run

• Kathryn Kilber - Pole Vault

• Sophia Knittel - 200 Meter Dash

• 4x100 Meter Relay

• 4x200 Meter Relay

• 4x400 Meter Relay

• 4x800 Meter Relay

Other girls who may be competing in a relay include: Reaghan Bowers, Aubree DeRaad, Brianna Geditz, Isabella Henderson, Josie Knutson, Brooke Larson and Anna Nierman.

The IHS Boys competitors include:

• Brody Davis - Pole Vault

• Trevor Heinz - 100 Meter Dash and Long Jump

• Kyle Hettich - 100 Meter Dash and 200 Meter Dash

• Xavier Kadlec -3200 Meter Run

• Maxwell Kulesa - 200 Meter Dash

• Rasmus Loken - 110 Meter Hurdles, 300 Meter Hurdles and Pole Vault

• Kaden Weig - 110 Meter Hurdles

• 4x100 Meter Relay

• 4x200 Meter Relay

• 4x400 Meter Relay

Other boys who may be competing in a relay include: Casey Geditz, Tyler Gellhaus, Jaxon Holt.

Ipswich is planning a Welcome Home event on Sunday, May 26 at 6 p.m. in the School Theatre.

NORTH CENTRAL

North Central girls and boys track and field athletes qualified for the State A Track and Field Meet in Sioux Falls May 23-25 at Howard Wood Field.

They qualified for five individual girls’ events and one boys’ event, as well as a relay.

The top 24 competitors in each division qualified for the State Meet.

The NC Girls competitors include:

• Ella Batie - Triple Jump

• Kaidence Bulgin - 100 Meter Hurdles

• Carleigh Dosch - Pole Vault

• Lindsey Geier - Triple Jump

• Peyton Schnabel - Pole Vault

The IHS Boys competitors include:

• Raynor Sprague - 400 Meter Dash

• 4x800 Meter Relay

Other boys who may be competing in a relay include: Aiden Goings, Gabe Johnson, Anthony Miller, Avery Wells, and Kobe Wherry.
