Edmunds Central golfers competed in the Ipswich Invitational golf meet on May 16 at the Split Rock Country Club.
The Edmunds Central golfers placed second at the Ipswich Invitational with a 257, behind the Ipswich boys with 250.
Seth Hettick was third, followed by Harrison Beyers at fourth - 83 and 84. Trent Beyers was ninth and Clark Beyers was 13th.
The Region 5B golf tournament was held at Hillsview Golf Course in Pierre on May 20. Seven girl and 12 boy teams from around the region competed for a chance to qualify for the state tournament.
The top individual 20 scores and ties qualified for the state golf meet. The two top teams qualified. Region 5B champions were the Ipswich boys. Sully Buttes and Miller were tied for second. Miller won the girls division, followed by Selby Area.
Edmunds Central golfer Harrison Beyers was sixth, firing an 80. Seth Hettick had a 81 for eighth place. Trent Beyers also qualified for the the State Meet at 23rd place, posting a 91. Clark Beyers completed the EC team, shooting a 97 for 33rd place.
The boys will play in the State B Golf Meet at Brookings Country Club on June 3 and 4.
