Achievement Days features livestock events

The Edmunds County 4-H Achievement Days are quickly approaching. There are several livestock events planned for the three days.

The Cat Show will start off the three days at the 4-H Building on Sunday, August 4 at 2 p.m. That afternoon the Open Horse Show and Fun Day will start at 4 p.m. This event will be held at the Trail Days Arena. The participants will show their talent in barrels, poles, showmanship, boot scramble, and several other fun events.

Monday morning, August 5 will start off with the Dog Show starting at 8 a.m. The dogs will be judged on agility, rally, obedience, and showmanship. The Rabbit Show will also be that day starting at 8:30 a.m. This will be followed by the Poultry Show. That evening will be the Pet Show starting at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, August 6 is also filled with livestock events. The Livestock Show begins at 8 a.m. with the judging of swine entries. Sheep, dairy, goat, and beef entries will follow. The bottle/bucket calf participants will also show their animals. The final entries will be the Pre 4-H’ers showing their livestock.

Achievement Days will culminate with the livestock Premium Sale on Tuesday starting at 3 p.m. Please note the date and time changes.
