Storybook Land theater groip makes local stops

The Storybook Land on Tour will present “A Year With Frog and Toad” August 7 and 8 on local stages.

The musical will be presented in the Edmunds Central Fine Arts Gym in Roscoe on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 10 a.m., sponsored by the P.A.C. They will have popsicles for all the kids. A free-will offering will be taken.

The next day, Thursday, August 8, the Marcus P. Beebe Library will sponsor “A Year with Frog and Toad” at the Bandshell on Main Street in Ipswich. Pre-show entertainment begins at 10 a.m. with the show at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to the free event.

“A Year With Frog and Toad” is a musical written by brothers Robert (music) and Willie Reale (book and lyrics), based on the Frog and Toad children's stories written and illustrated by Arnold Lobel. The musical follows the woodland adventures of two amphibious friends, a worrywart toad and a perky frog, with their assorted colorful hopping, crawling and flying companions, over the course of a year.
