A benefit is planned for John Meuwissen of Hosmer on August 24 in the Hosmer City Liquor.
John was injured in a farm accident this spring. The benefit is being held to help offset ongoing medical expenses associated with injuries sustained in the accident. He suffered a broken back, broken ribs, broken sternum and a fractured shoulder blade.
He is the co-owner of the Hosmer Meat Market.
The event will begin with a Bean Bag Tournament. Sign-up begins at 11 a.m. Bring your own team for the round robin style tourney with a 50% payout.
A pork sandwich meal begins at 3 p.m. Other events include a silent auction and Ricky’s Pink Ladies Pie Auction.
Enjoy music by KC Hughes and the Wayward Travelers from 7 to 11 p.m. at Hosmer City Liquor.
