North Central hosts cross country meet

North Central hosted a Cross Country Invitation on Aug. 31 at the Bowdle Golf Course.

Mikaela Malsom was third in the girls 4K varsity run, at 17:22.47, followed by Grace Roth, 17:27.31. Kassandra Abbas was eighth followed by Melanie Dallenbach.

Jentry Hubney of Herreid/Selby Area was first at 16:38.61. Faith Heil of Mobridge-Pollock was second, 16:40.12.

NC runner Avery Wells won the boys 4K varsity race at 13:38.23. He was followed by NC’s Drew Arbach, 13:547.77. Thunder runners Theo Haerter was fourth (14:36.54) and Noah Ingerson, sixth (15:19.66).

The North Central XC team will compete in Redfield on Thursday at 10 a.m. They will compete in the Potter County Invitational on Sept. 11.
