Friday the 13th was a lucky day for IHS football

The Ipswich grid team scored ten touchdowns on their way to a 66-14 Gala Day win over Northwestern on Sept. 13.

The Tigers started the first quarter with a fumble recovery with a 13-yard touchdown run by Casey Geditz. Geditz ran for the conversion also.

The scoring included:

First Quarter: 38-0

– Geditz 13-yd run with Kyle Hettich run

– Hettich 55-yd punt return, Max Kulesa run

– Geditz 45-yd run, Hettich run

– Hettich 28-yd Run

Second Quarter: 22-14

- Shay Knust 18-yd, run

– Knust 5-yd run, Brody Davis

– Kingston Sylte 5-yd run, Stetson Weigel run

– Hayden Schlosser 5-yd run, Weigel run

NW - Cole Caulder 36-yd run

NW - Cauldner 60-yd run, Cauldner run

Third Quarter: 6-0

– Hettich 42-yd run

The Tigers were 26-256 for rushing, led by Hettich 5-76 and Knust 6-25. Kulesa was 3-5 for 24

yards. Hettich was the pass receiving 1-14.

IHS had five first downs,

The Wildcats were 10-12 for rushing. Passing was 3-7 for 90 yards. They had one first down.

IHS tackle leaders were Stetson Weigel, six and Rasmus Loken and Max Kulesa, five each.

Defensive leaders were Colton Lefforge, eight tackles and Caulder and Braden DeYoung, six tackles each.

The Tigers get Friday, Sept. 20 off for their bye week. They play Herreid-Selby Area on Sept. 27 in Selby.
