North Central boys champs in two recent XC meets

The North Central boys cross country team was first in the Potter County Invitational Cross Country Meet on Sept. 11 in Hoven.

The Thunder boys edged Frederick Area 20 to 21 team points in the 5,000 Meters Varsity race.

Wamni Kills Crow of McLaughlin won the meet at 17:43.74.

The Thunder had two boys in the top-ten: Gabe Johnson, fifth (18:32.90) and Avery Wells, sixth (18:37.34). They were followed by Thunder runners Aaron Ingerson-12, Noah Ingerson-14 and Theo Haerter-15.

The North Central girls were fourth in the 5,000 Meters Varsity race with 41 points. Lemmon won the girls race with nine points.

Dannika Kaup of Potter County won the race, 21:01.81.

NC runners in the top-20 included Grace Roth-12, Mikaela Malsom-14, and Melanie Dallenbach-15.
