Ipswich hosted a cross country meet on Saturday, Sept, 14 at the Ipswich Athletic Complex,
The North Central boys team were the Mens 5,000 Meters Varsity champions, led by Gabe Johnson who placed second at 17:33.44. Thunder runners in the top ten were Avery Wells, fourth at 17:50.08; Drew Arbach, fifth at 18:04.67; and Aaron Ingerson, eighth at 18:54.63.
Pierce Baumberger of Miller won the Mens Varsity race, 16:35.25.
Miller won the Womens 5,000 Meters Varsity, led by Madeline Nye at 20:01.47. Ipswich's Madisyn Gellhaus was second, 20:18.53. Gracyn Kadlec was eighth for the Tigers at 21:52.44.
Grace Roth placed 10th for North Central at 22:25.51.
The Ipswich boys won the 4,000 Meters Junior Varsity with 24 points, Tyler Gellhaus was first, 15:10.22. He was followed by Ethan Wald, second and Tye Pietz, fifth.
North Central runners placed in the top-ten in the Boys 4,000 Meters Junior Varsity were Jason Arbach, fourth and Jake Wolf, tenth.
Jennay Gisi won the Girls 4,000 Meters Junior Varsity race at 16:20.61. She was followed by three Tiger runners: Braelyn Holt, third; Aubrey Crissman, fourth and Olivia Kadlec, fifth.
Two Thunder runners were in the top-ten in the girls JV race: Katherina Malsom, eighth and Lily Roth, ninth.
Ipswich and North Central will compete in the Battler Invitational in Gettysburg on Sept. 21.
