IHS Tigers win Subway Invitational VB Tourney

Ipswich and North Central met in the championship of the Subway Volleyball Invitational Tourney Saturday, Sept. 21 in Ipswich.

The Tigers won the match 25-15, 27-25,

The Tigers were 47 of 51 serving with six aces, Jaydin Stiles was 12 of 12 with three aces, Brianna Geditz was 12 of 14 with two aces,

Ipswich was 71 of 87 in hitting with 24 kills. They were led by Marley Guthmiller, 34 of 39 with 12 kills and Kaylin Onken, 19 of 29, 5 kills.

The IHS team setting was 97 of 97 with 19 assists, Josie Knutson was 47 of 47, 14 assists and Reaghan Bowers was 34 of 34 with 5 assists.

The team had eight assisted blocks, led by Karlie Weisser, two and Jalyssa Hutson, one.

IHS had 78 digs – Geditz 30 and Guthmiller 16.

The Tigers started the day against Langford, 16-25, 25-19, 27-25.
