The North Central boys won the Battler Invitational Cross Country meet on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Four Thunder runners were in the top ten of the Men’s 5,000 meters Varsity Race. Gabe Johnson was second at 16:48.67. He was followed by Thunder runners Avery Wells sixth, Drew Arbach seventh and Aaron Ingerson tenth.
Wamni Kills Crow won the men’s division,
The Thunder boys had 12 points as a team. Highmore-Harrold was second with 24 points, The Ipswich boys were fifth.
IHS Tiger Madisyn Gellhaus won the Women’s 5,000 meters Varsity Race at 19:11.83. She was followed by Kaitlyn Wirth of Warner, second.
The Warner girls won the women’s division with eight points, The North Central varsity girls were fourth.
North Central’s Jason Arbach was the winner of the Men’s 4,000 meters Junior Varsity Race.
Thunder Jake Wolf was seventh and Tiger Edison Unser was tenth.
The Ipswich girls won the Women’s 4,000 meters Junior Varsity division with six points. North Central’s Mikaela Malsom won the race followed by four Tiger girls – Isabella Henderson second, Aubrey Crissman third, Olivia Kadlec fourth and Braelyn Holt fifth. NC’s Georgia Odenbach was tenth.
Ipswich and North Central will both run in the Lakeside Invitational Cross Country Meet today, Sept. 25 in Faulkton. The meet at Lakeside Country Club begins at 11 a.m. They will both run in the Miller Invitational on Sept. 30.
