Ipswich volleyball team stays busy

Two Tiger teams battled on Monday, Oct. 14 in Ipswich. The Tigers from Mobridge came out on top 3-2 in the volleyball game.

Ipswich won the first match 25-21. Then Mobridge won the second 18-25, then play continued 27-25, 17-25. Mobridge won the tie-breaker 10-15.

Marley Guthmiller had 24 kills and was 74 of 84. Kaylin Onken had 15 kills. The IHS team attack total was 167 of 190 with 44 kills.

October 8 Ipswich hosted Faulkton. The Trojans won 3-0: 17-25, 15-25, 21-25.

Setting: 100 of 102 18 assists (Knutson 47 of 48 9 assists, Bowers 31 of 32 7 assists)

Ipswich played in the Potter County “Lady Battler” VB Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 12. The day’s results were:

• Potter County 0 / Ipswich 2

Ipswich stopped Potter County 3-1 on October 3 in Ipswich — 22-25. 25-22, 25-19 25-21.

The Tigers play Hitchcock-Tulare on Oct. 17 in Tulare. They play Leola/Frederick Area on Oct. 21 in Leola. IHS hosts Aberdeen Christian on October 22.
