Tigers get overtime win at home

Ipswich hosted the undefeated Leola/Frederick Area in football action on Oct. 11. The game's outcome was decided in overtime.

Tiger Max Kulesa ran 18 yards seconds before the second quarter ended to score six points.

The Titans scored in the fourth quarter on Gavin Nickelson's one-yard run.

The game ended in a 6-6 tie.

L/FA scored first in the over-time, a six-yard pass to Westyn Thorpe from Noah Kippley added six more to the score. The PAT failed.

Then it was the Tigers' turn. Kulesa ran 10-yards to score six and then added two more for the win with a run.

Kulesa was the Tigers' rushing leader 11-85. Casey Geditz was 6-42. Ipswich rushing was 24-166.

Kulesa was 11-19 for 119 yards in passing. Reception leaders were Geditz 4-56 and Kyle Hettich 4-29.

Ipswich had 12 first downs.

The Titans rushing was 26-134. Passing was 14-15 for 152 yards. They had six first downs.

Tiger tackle leaders were Geditz with 13, Hettich 12 and Shay Knust 11.

Ipswich will finish the regular season on Friday, Oct. 18 hosting North Central.
