Santa Gives Candy to Many Children

Crowds of people thronged Ipswich streets Wednesday, December 24th awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus.

And when he did arrive in the fire truck with his two brownies, the kiddies joy was complete.

His truck was loaded to overflowing with treats for them and delighted beyond measure was Santa to see them all, and they were to see him.

In order to prevent children from obtaining more than one sack of candy and others not receiving any, a rope arrangement was fixed and the children filed by to receive the treat.

Adults from outside of Ipswich were also given treats.

The Ipswich Fire department had charge of the Christmas treat in Ipswich this year and worked hard to get things lined up to give the children a happy time. They had plenty of treats and Santa was here in person to greet them. The community tree was erected and decorated by the department. The affair was a success and we are glad to give credit where credit is due.
