Tigers - Thunder doubleheader

Ipswich and North Central met for a doubleheader in the Edmunds Central gym in Roscoe on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Ipswich got the wins in this DH. They meet again in January in Ipswich.

The girls were close in the first quarter, with the Thunder up 8-6. The Tigers were up at half time 24-18 and led at the other quarter stops 36-25 and 48-39 at the final buzzer.

NC’s Amree Vander Vorst led all players with 20 points. Tiger Gabby Wald had 18 points. Both had four three-pointers.

Other IHS scorers were Kaylin Onken-10 points, Brianna Geditz-eight, Anna Nierman-five, Tristen Geditz-three, Marley Guthmiller-two, Jalyssa Hutson-two.

NC Thunder scorers were Carleigh Dosch-nine, Ella Batie-eight, and Ashton Heyne-two.

Tiger Marley Guthmiller had 11 rebounds. Ella Batie had 10 rebounds and Amree Vander Vorst had nine rebounds for the Thunder.

The Ipswich boys got the lead in the first quarter 18-8, but the NC boys crawled back for a 24-21 halftime deficit. The final score was IHS 53 - NC 43.

Max Kulesa led the Tigers with 16 points, followed by Jaxon Holt-14, Kyle Hettich-12, Tucker Kadlec-8, Hayden Schlosser-three. Adding three pointers were Holt-four, Hettich-two and Schlosser-one.

North Central was led by Donovan Nelson with 13 points. Other scorers were Cole Beitelspacher-10, Kobe Wherry-nine, Zane Haar-five, Jade Jacobs-four, and Seth Hettick-two. Wherry had two three-pointers and Haar had one.
