Ipswich hosted Warner in a doubleheader on Jan. 9.
Warner girls stopped the Tigers 49-45. The Tiger girls were up 25-15 at halftime. The score was tied seven times, with the lead changing eight times.
Jalyssa Hutson led the Tigers with 13 points. Also scoring were Anna Nierman 10, Gabby Wald nine, Marley Guthmiller seven, and Tristan Geditz six.
Stacia Carda led all scorers with 19 points.
The Tigers had 25 rebounds, the Wildcats had 39.
The Warner boys got the win in the boys game 52-48.
The Tiger boys were down 42-24 at the end of the third quarter. They battled to within four points of the Wildcats.
Max Kulesa led the Tigers with 17 points. Tucker Kadlec was close behind him with 16 points. Other Tiger scorers were Jaxon Holt and Shay Knust with five each, Hayden Schlosser three, and Kyle Hettich two.
Drew Bakeberg led the Monarchs with 19 points.
Warner had 36 rebounds and Ipswich had 32.
The Tigers boys hosted Sully Buttes on Jan. 14 then the girls will host Northwestern on Jan. 16. The boys and girls will play a doubleheader vs. Waubay/Summit on the road on Jan. 17. Then they will host North Central on Jan. 21.
